This New Nokia N96 mobile phone takes the existing look of the N95 and makes it even smarter. This Nokia has adopted the clever two-way sliding mechanism as the N95. allowing the consumer the choice of a conventional keypad or music controls, but there has been some adaptations to this new model. The Nokia N96 camera (5 megapixel) has been built with the technology of GPS mapping, allowing for ‘geotag’ your pictures with location data. The camera also allows you to capture video clips with DVD-like quality at 30 frames per second, and there a wide range of video playback formats, which include Windows Media Video and Flash Video.
The Music storage is massive with a 16GB available and expandable. The 3D stereo speakers and a standard 3.5mm headphone socket. The Wifi and 3G connectivity rounds off the package, which makes this the ultimate multimedia computer mobile.
The other feature include:
- Bluetooth
- WAP
- Faster data with GPRS
- Music Player
- FM radio
- Camera phone
- Colour screen
- Polyphonic ringtones
- Vibrate Alert
- Voice dialling
- World phone (Quadband)
- 3G
- Picture messaging

Currently O2 are offering this phone at £35 a month, which gives you a free handset, 600mins and unlimited tetxs messaging but the contract is 18 months. This offer I believe to be the best in the current market that offers minutes and texts, which are value for money.
Pay as you Go Packages

Recently Orange have brought out New animal packages for pay as you go phones, they are four different packages that give the customer a wide range of variety. The four packages are Dolphin, Canary, Racoon and Camel, which can be used on a wide variety of mobile phones.
The Dolphin package includes free texts to any network and free access to facebook via WAP. The package offers 300 texts every £10 you top up, 600 texts every £20 you top up and if you top up £30 you get unlimited texts for the month (fair usuage policy does apply) but this offer seems to be very appealing.
The Canary package offers free evening and weekend calls, by topping up £10 you get 120 evening and weekend minutes, by topping up £20 you get 180 evening and weekend minutes and by topping up £30 you get 240 evening and weekend minutes. This offer is perfect for the mobile phone consumer who needs to talk to people directly or perfect for the consumer who mainly uses they phone for evening and weekend calls.
By selecting the Racoon package calls to any network cost 15p per minute at anytime. Also by selecting this package gives you texts to any network, anytime for 10p. This offer allows the consumer to gain the benefits of cheap calls and texts, although this offer maybe right for particular customers. I think that this particular package doesn’t offer value for money and for a frequent user of a mobile phone there are better offer for pay as you go customers.
Finally the Camel package offers the consumer calls to over 50 countries from 5p a minute and 20p calls and 10p texts to any networks in the Uk at any time. This offer is clearly useful for the consumer who calls abroad frquently, but not if the consumer is to use calls and texts within the United Kingdom.
